EYE

Deep amber with copper and old-gold glints. A visual density that anticipates the complexity in the glass.

NOSE

Dark chocolate, soft cigar tobacco, dried fruits, deep vanilla and elegantly toasted wood.

PALATE

Velvety and enveloping. Bitter chocolate, dates, soft leather, and a long, spiced finish that keeps evolving in the glass.

THE DEPTH OF TIME

Umbela Añejo is the result of 18 months of patient waiting in first-fill French oak barrels. In that time, Jalisco agave becomes something greater: a spirit of great complexity, with aromatic layers that reveal themselves slowly and a finish that stays long on the palate. It cannot be rushed.

CRAFT

PROCESO

Eighteen months in 200-liter first-fill French oak barrels. The porosity of French oak allows a slower micro-oxidation than American oak, developing more complex aromas and the silky texture that defines a great añejo. Every barrel is evaluated individually before it is approved for blending.

PAIRING

Exceptional neat, at room temperature or slightly chilled. Pairs with fine chocolate, cigars, cured meats, Oaxacan black mole and high-altitude specialty coffee. An experience that deserves undivided attention.
